Lucas' employer Omniture had a week long conference in which all employees and major clients were allowed to attend. Most of the evenings were filled with dinner and drinks and meeting at clubs, etc. One of the nights, Omniture had paid for the famous HBO show Fight of The Conchords actors/musicians to play at The Depot (a private club downtown) and dancing afterwards. FoTC is huge to those who are cool enough to know of them and/or watch HBO. Ive been watching their show on HBO from the beginning. I am one of their HUGEST fans!!!!! Their songs and dance moves are the greatest ever. (Well after Luke's of course) So when Luke told me about them coming I told him he had to get me in and he did! How lucky was I to get to see the most awesome guys ever?! By the night of, Luke had worked it out for my sister Paige and her friend Jace to also get in. The show was great!! We got right up to the front and afterwards I tried to buy Brett's sweater that he left on stage (which failed) however I did get Brett's have drunken bottle of water. Paige, Jace and I set off while Luke mingled with other real clients to see if we could get back stage or by the back door to meet the Guys when they came out. We got caught by some tough looking dude and I ran back inside to hide and Paige and Jace continued their quest. An hour or so later they came running up to me screaming and jumping up and down bc they had just met and got pictures with Brett and Jemaine!! And I missed it! But awesome Paige was able to get their autographs made out to me on one of their badges. We were then all jumping up and down and yelling like idiots and all these people were staring at us. I didnt even care. I got a Brett germed water bottle and autographs. It was the best night ever!!!! Thank you Flight of The Concords and thank you Paige and Jace and thank you, thank you, thank you, Baby Lucas.
