Christmas 2012

Christmas was wonderful this year. The kids both had the flu and Lola spent Christmas Eve night (from 9p-2a) throwing up. She threw up once right when she woke up that next morning and never again. Rhett also managed to keep everything down on Christmas day and I was SO thankful! The kids got a lot of great gifts and were very spoiled by Santa, mom and dad, and family and friends.

Christmas Eve presents- ornaments and jammies

Lola modeling her new jammies in front of her Christmas tree:)

And my cute kiddos in their cute matching Christmas jammies

Christmas morning. It took us nearly an hour to convince Lola to open her presents from "Ho Ho Clause". She did not feel good and just wanted to lay there. Finally I opened one for her and once she saw the babies she decided she was feeling well enough to open the rest on her own:)

One of her favorite presents- she was so excited to see it that she kissed it several times!

Our Christmas with Brooklyn. Lola was so excited to have Brooklyn come over and to give her the gift she picked out for her as well as have her open all the ones Santa had left under the tree with her name on them.

This is Lola asking pretty please if she can open one of Brooklyn's presents

and this is her face after I told her no:)

It was another great Christmas. A little different this year but still a pretty good one:)

Eleven Months

Sissy getting in the on the pic:)

Age- Eleven months!

Weight and height- 19 lbs 3 oz 29.6 in

Hair- ridiculously long now. Way past his ears to where it should tuck behind them but it lays above them like wings. Total mullett in the back and his bangs are well in his eyes. Im still trying to decide whether to cut it or not. I think I will so that it looks nice for his 1 year pics and then possibly will grow it back out. We'll see...

Teeth- cut his 3rd tooth (top left) on 12.14.12. He fussed and fussed over this one for days. And once it came through I could see why- its huge!

Size- 9-12 mos. clothes. Size 3 diapers. Size 3 shoe.

Eating- 6 ounces every 3-4 hours during the day and we're in the process of weaning him from getting another bottle at 5 or 6a. Eating #3 jarred foods, baby snacks, and small bites of all foods. He eats everything you give him as well as loves to beg for food from your plate.

Sleeping- wakes around 8a, naps around 1030 or 11 and again around 2 or 3. Each nap is about 1 to 2.5 hours. Bedtime is around 8 or 830p. He lasted a whole 2 weeks of sleeping through the night until he started cutting his 3rd tooth. Since then, he's up several times a night for his binky and again for a bottle at 5 or 6a.  I'm rocking him back to sleep each morning that he wakes up and wont go back down with his binky. Sometimes it takes up to an hour to get him back to sleep where I can lay him down without him sitting right back up and crying again. Also this last month, he has started wanting to be rocked to sleep at nap time. I now rock him for a few minutes after his bottle but lay him down and let him cry until he falls asleep. I finally have my own place, but its a basement apt and Im afraid my neighbors will come beat me up if I dare do the cry it out during the night. But Im so desperate for real sleep I might just do it this month...

Movement/development- pulling up on everything! and getting back down from standing, waving by opening and closing his fingers, starting to try to move/dance to music, more syllables- la-la, na-na, starting to use his walker,

Milestones/firsts- pulling up, first Thanksgiving,

Favorites- crawling as fast as he can everywhere, pulling up on everything, jumperoo, baths, playing with Lola, putting anything he can get into his mouth, getting Lola's toys- getting into them and taking them from her when she's not looking,

Dislikes- getting his hair washed, being hungry, Lola taking away his toys and harassing him

Misc. Oct. and Nov. Pics

My always happy boy. He has been sick so much lately with colds, asthma, bronchiolitis, etc that Im surprised he's been able to keep up such a sweet and happy disposition (during the day). Nighttime is a whole different story however.

This boy LOVES his bathtime. Until he has to get his hair washed. He HATES that part and lets everyone within half a mile radius know it.

Baby Isla (my friends little girl) playing big sister to baby Rhett. I love his face in this pic.

His new favorite 'trick'! He crawls all around and randomly stops to pull this move and then will continue on his way:)

Thankfull 2012

These two little people are what Im most thankful for. They are my everything and the light of my life. To me, they are beautiful and perfect. They give me strength and hope for a better future and everything I do is for them. They deserve the world and I hope I can give them as close to it as possible one day.  I may fall short more often than not, but I hope they know how much I love and adore them and that I am always trying my best.

A little photo shoot before Thanksgiving dinner:

The very most handsomest boy ever!

and of course, the very most beautiful little girl ever

My precious babes. I love when she loves him:)

Ten Months

Age- Ten months!

Weight and height- 19 lbs 5 oz and 28.25 in

Hair- keeps on growing! Not sure if I want to cut it short or let it grow out??

Teeth- no new teeth

Size- a few 6-9 but mostly 9-12 mos. clothes. Size 3 diapers

Eating- 6 ounces every 3-4 hours during the day and once in the night usually around 4 or 5a. Eating #3 jarred foods, baby snacks, and small bites of table food. He eats pretty much any and everything.

Sleeping- wakes around 7 or 8a, naps around 10, noon and 2. Bedtime is around 730p. He is waking a few times at night for his binky and then for a bottle around 4 or 5a. Since we're currently staying with a friend, crying it out is not an option. This has been the hardest thing for me with him- getting him to consistently sleep through the night and sleep well. We have been living with my parents and now a friend for the last 5 months and so I've had no choice but to get up with him and Im too tired and lazy at 5a to bother rocking him back to sleep so he gets a bottle. One of these days soon he'll be over this- I hope...

Movement/development- crawling! First crawled on 10.23.12 He is learning how to get around and is everywhere now. He is so proud of his new ability. More syllables- mama, tata, vava, fafa,

Milestones/firsts- crawling, more syllables, first Halloween

Favorites- crawling, jumperoo, baths, playing with Lola, putting anything he can get into his mouth, reading books, trying to get Lola's toys, standing up (with you holding his hands),

Dislikes- getting his hair washed
