Christmas at the Cabin

We went to our family cabin in Bear Lake for Christmas this year. There was tons of snow and it was definitely a white Christmas! We drove up the Tuesday before and hung out with the family until Friday night. This year we were lucky enough to have Brooklyn from Christmas afternoon through Saturday night. We picked her up in Park City, went back to the cabin for a day and then home for a day. We did lots of lying around, played games, and made/ate WAY too many treats, snowmobiling and sledding were at the top of the list also. The best part of the week (for me) was the Christmas Tree that Lucas, Steven and Nate hand cut down for us. They had to drive into town and get a permit, drive up to the mtn and go saw themselves a tree. It took them hours! They were oh so proud of it too. I have to admit it was a very tall tree (it went all the way to the vaulted ceiling top), a little sparse in some areas but who were us girls (who stayed home) to complain? The picture of the men with their tree will for sure make me smile always. On Christmas Day Santa brought us lots of good stuff. Brooklyn got the Tag Reading System (which is way cool btw), a dollhouse and all its accessories including a sweet ride aka Minivan, some Littlest Pet Shops, Brats dolls, Tinkerbell toys, games, movies, and one of her favorites- a self inflating Whoopie Cushion. She loves to make you think its you doing all that "pooting" (her more disgusting word for tooting)!! Here are a few pics from our ultra awesome Holiday. Hope you all had a Very Merry Christmas. Happy 2009!!!

Either shes excited about her dollhouse or someone spiked her hot cocoa...

Lucas John turns 32

My baby turned 32 on Dec. 05 We celebrated it the usual way with his favorite dinner at Ruths Chris and then I surprised him by baking. I can count on 1 hand how many times Ive cooked/baked for Luke since weve married. Pathetic I know but its just not my thing. I had remembered him saying he liked Pineapple Upsidedown Cake so thats what he got. I didnt dare ask if it was any good, the fact that it stayed up and looked half as decent as it did was enough for me!
