Mexico Meets the Gray/Benik party!

From May 25- May 30 the Grays and their children, Lucas and myself, Nathan's girlfriend Ashley and his good friend Nick all went to Cancun, Mexico for a "little vacation". We stayed at a resort called Riveria Myan. It was really nice and very oppisite of life at home...I always leave thinking I could move there and live in a hut and sell necklaces and be content but then I get home and take a long hot shower and smell my clean clothes and look at my dirty house and realize this is where im supposed to be...for now. I just uploaded a few pics for people to see what my week was like an hopefully make some of you a little jealous! PS I didnt know you had to fly all the way to Mexico to
be somewhere with an actual summer? What is the problem w/ Utah anyway?!? Its driving me crazy!!! Anyway Enjoy the pics of me and our crazy party of 10. We had some "Mexican professional" shoot pictures of us snorkeling and on the private beach we went to maybe I will post those later when I receive them...
Some of the highlights from the trip were: Paige's flight from Mexico City to Cancun was canceled and she had to sleep on a cement block in a room like a prison!! She came a day later. We laid out a lot and ate lots of chips and guacamole. In our room we ate Ramen like theres no tomorrow. We went to the grocery store while Steve
picked up Paige. We forgot to tell the

shuttle man to take us into the small town and then we ended up 30 min. away in Cancun! We had to walk a while to find a grocery store then we bought a buttload of crap and 8 of us had to carry 3 bags and jugs of water we tried to find a bus back to the resort but it was a no go. We would have to take 2 taxis to get back. But this is after we walked 1 1/2 miles to find the stupid cabbies!! Argh Ive never sweated that bad in my life! Also Lucas found a Tree Frog in the hallway and we kept "Fred" in a clear bowl with leaves and and bugs and then Luke tried to let him free off the balcony and he fell to his death (most likely) Poor Fred. We also played the funnest game (I think) CatchPhrase

and it was way funny to see people waving their arms and getting all frustrated b/c no one could guess the word w/ their lame hints/clues. What else...not a whole lot we went to Senior Frogs and a few restrurants and watched the sun rise in the WEST instead of the East. Cool. Then it ended with a fun fun fun trip home to Salt Lake. We left the ersort at 4 am and then had 3 flights canceled on us, our luggage lost entirely (they couldnt say where they last were checked) and we stopped in 3 states and finally got home around 8pm. Joyous times...

Baby Brooklyn's Graduation

As you can see Baby Brooks isnt so much a baby anymore. This is her PreSchool Graduation at Kids Village. Brooks turned 5 in Febraury and in a few months will head off to Kindergarten and next will be High School. Time sure flys by faster when kids are involved...b/c you dont want them to grow up sooo fast. I first met Brooklyn in December of 2005 when she was 2 and 3/4!! She was so tiny and could barely say sentences, and thought anything you said or did was silly. So easily entertained and now.... she doesnt even fall for most tricks and our jokes aren't as funny. She has this amazing ability to stare at you with this look that says "your'e the lamest loser that ever entered MY royal world". Seriously. I often feel like a pathetic dork...by a 5 year old. She thinks Daddy is way lamer so at least I got that going for me....I absolutely adore Brooklyn and if we didnt all know she wasnt mine you might just think she was. At one school program another mother told me my daughter was beautiful and looked just like me?!? If the "looks like me" are true in any way I'm sorry Brooks. However Brooks knows how beautiful she is and makes us remind her that we know this ALL the time. She'll ask "Am I prettier than a sandwich? Prettier than a flower? Prettier than you? Prettier than all the Disney Princesses? It reminds me of the character "Jackie" from That 70's Show. And yes Brooks your'e prettier than Jackie as well.

The Happy crew here to support our Nathan! Just for Nathan, Breecia, Paige, Lucas, and I drove through the night to Denver from Salt Lake. We arrived at 430am and had to up and ready by 8am. Him's must be a special brother...
