Seven Months!

Lola turned 7 months this week! She is getting so so big and starting to lose her little baby face, looking more like a pre-toddler baby. Huge sigh. I weighed her at home on my trusty and oh so accurate scale but it gives you a basic idea (within half a pound) of her current weight. And based on the average weight and height for a 7 month old (17 1/2 lbs and 27 1/2 ins)- our Lola is a little shrimp! So hopefully she hits a growth spurt in her length soon :)
Most routines are the same this month- eating and sleeping wise, and of course being the cutest, easiest and sweetest baby girl but a few of her new things are- Sitting up on her own, raising her arms to be picked up, and eating finger foods. She still only rolls to the left and refuses to entertain tummy time, immediately rolling onto her back when placed on her stomach. Although a few nights back, she rolled onto her tummy in her sleep and slept that way for a whole hour before crying for someone to help her roll back. Progress! She is too funny. One of these days, shell decide she wants to go places and figure out how to crawl :)

She would NOT sit still for her little photo shoot! She wanted to eat the sign and stuffed animal SO bad. So after I got a picture I let her have at it with her props. She even laughed this baby sized evil laugh when she finally got the animal into her mouth. Like "Mwa-ha-ha, I got you" :)

And here she is eating the tag. She LOVES those tags.

Ta-Da!!

Look who can sit up all by herself now!! While on vacation for Thanksgiving we hadnt really been trying to sit her on her own, mostly because she was constantly being fought over for who got to hold her. So pretty much she was never put down that week. Then one night while I was putting her jammies on she kept doing her famous mini-crunches (her way of trying to sit up) so I sat her up and she stayed there. For almost a whole 10 minutes!! Okay maybe more like 6-7 but long enough for me to get the video camera out and record a few minutes. Now that its been a week or so, she can hold herself up entirely and balances herself really well. She LOVES, LOVES to sit up. She gets this look on her face like she's such a big girl. It is so cute to watch her sit in the living room and play with her toys in this new way. Im sure she loves this new view a lot more too :) It makes me so excited for her and so sad at the same time. I dont want my baby growing up and certainly not this fast! Boo... but really Yay, for Lola!!

Lola's 6 Months Picture

Lola had her 6 months pictures taken last week. We were there quite a while because every time we got her to smile, she would grab her dress and raise it over her head in excitement or put her fingers in her mouth. Silly girl! These 2 are my favorites. I cant believe how big she is already!!

Sisters

We had the girls pictures taken together now that Lola is a little bigger and (somewhat) understands the picture process :) However, it was still quite the challenge getting BOTH girls to look and smile at the camera at the SAME time! We got some really cute ones and this one is my favorite. Aren't they the cutest sisters?!

Merry December 1st

Tis the season for the yearly visit and photo with Santa so we took the girls to the mall last week. I realize Lola's bow is pretty much in her eyes but after they shot this first one, I ran over to fix it, at which point Lola turned and saw who was holding her and started screaming. Needless to say, we were unable to get another shot. Its still pretty cute anyhow :)
