3 Years Today

My parents were out from SF for Thanksgiving. My friend, Brittany, wants to go hang out with some guy and tries her hand at setting me up with his friend. I kindly say "No Thank You". She pushes, I tell her I don't wish to meet some lame-o and to get lost, she then gets Steven involved, telling him his daughter has an opportunity to meet some guy and isn't cooperating. Steven pleads with me to go meet this "boy". Maybe hes nice, maybe hes a lot of fun, and just maybe hes even cute?!? Britt nods in agreement oblivious to my wishes to be left alone. Then it happened...Stevens pouty lip comes rolling out. "Please for your Father", he says. "It would make me sooo happy to see you out socializing and making friends." "Alright fine!!" I say. But I don't have to be nice and I definitely don't have to like him. I tell Britt she's dead for making a scene resulting in my ruined night. So off we went to meet up with them... The following week he calls me after getting my number from Britt and we live happily ever after...

Isn't he the most handsomest? I'm totally in love and forever his.

A Little Birthday Celebration

We celebrated my birthday this last Sat. Luke and Brooklyn were so very nice to plan a special night with cake and presents. I had to take a few pics so everyone could see Luke's lovely set up (including streamers over the table). I was given a beautiful necklace that Brooklyn picked out herself. Then we had chocolate cake bc I love chocolate. Brooklyn and Luke sung me Happy Birthday and then again bc Brooklyn thought 2 times was better than 1 (it was). They were very sweet to think of me and plan something so special!

Halloween

This was Lukes first Halloween with Brooklyn. He was very excited to take her out, rain and all. Up on our hill there are alot of foreclosed homes and empty lots still so we drove down the street to another neighborhood where we saw alot of houses with lights on. After 10 houses or so we had Brooklyn already too tired for anymore candy... but we made her push on for another few houses and finally when she asked us to wait at the driveway and hold her basket for her (bc it too heavy with all of 20 peices) we decided to let the poor girl go home. It was fun watching Brooklyn do the Trick or Treating and yelling up at her to say thank you at every house and seeing how excited she got when someone gave a regular sized candy bar (or when she asked one man if thats all he had). We had a good time and I think Brooklyn did too, even the babies got in on the fun (okay I made them do it for blogging pictures sake!!) The best part of the night for me was how excited Luke was about answering the door and giving out candy. He said its his favorite part of Halloween!?! I let him have at it. Brooklyns favorite part was the fake teeth she got. She wore them for a solid 30 mins and showed us her awesome howling, growling and mean-cat meowing skills...Nice. Hope everyone else had a super time as well!

Brooklyn's 5 Year Pictures

A few of our favs...

Luke's Upgrade

After months of begging I agreed to let Luke buy us a new car. He's been wanting his "own" car since he kindly bought me my SUV and took over driving the Corolla. It wasn't nearly a fair trade but none the less he was willing to let me have the nicer of our 2 vehicles, yeah hes a dear, anyway... With Gas as high as it was and how much it was costing to fill up the Tahoe I forever refused to let go of our Corolla. For reals it only cost about $30 to fill up. However Luke's baby browns prevailed, and he bought the car he had been wanting (plus a few years and miles) Its cute really, he now wants to drive everywhere and no one but him is allowed behind the steering wheel, you'd swear its brand new :) I have to admit that the new trade-in is a bit more grown up than my college days car and quite a bit faster too...

Miss Tough...

It was way hard not to laugh at Brooklyn's too tough face... She came upstairs from my mother's basement wearing this!! She thought she was really scary and mean looking in Uncle Nate's helmet. I have to admit one thing was for reals scary, her cross eyed Gooney face... :)
